This might be why I've revealed a certain skill for maths as well as physics. Just knowing is never sufficient for me; I should at least try to rigorously comprehend the reasoning behind the mathematics I do, and afterwards, take my understanding to its limitations. Profusely asking about the reason something is the way it is, perhaps to the annoyance of my speakers, is something I'm forced to do.
